Back when Elmer Fudd was fat.

nope... it wasn't banned. the last time is saw this was 4 years ago on BOOMERANG
they WERE banned, boomerang now plays all the old BANNED looney tunes/ merry melodies, if u whatch closely u can spot very small things that got it banned, like said below, biugs was imitating a "blackface"
yeah, well, they may be offensive then, but with present pop-culture, black people might not find this as offensive as the people from yesteryear...
i totally agree with u, i was just saying y it was banned and that it in fact was, but i agree wiht u as to say it might not be so offensive now, and even still, they play all in the fmaily on re-runs, and thats no diffrent then this lol
So a cartoon doing an impression of Al Jolson is a reason for "banning"? I don't think so. Check the standards for broadcasting.
Banned??? No, we WON WWII if you chjeck your history you'd see that. Though the nincompoops trying to rewrite history don't want the U.S. to think of winning wars. This wasn't even an advertisment for recruitement. It's aim was to get people to buy savings bonds.
It could be banned simply for the fact that bugs did part of it in black face. Duh.
I don't find this offensive.
It's inpsiring and fun..can we see this
way?!
oh I C y it was banned because it was getting kids to join the war and Bugs was imitating a Blackface
