1965 Chrysler New Yorker TV Commercial

Video Title : 1965 Chrysler New Yorker TV Commercial
Description : Brand New Styling was introduced in 1965. This really was a beautiful car. Note the glass covered headlamps and the clear Lens on the tail lights. These tailights didn't function well and were quickly dropped. They were years later featured again on a Chrysler, the Lebaron in 1977 and they didn't work then either and were again quickly dropped early in the production run

i hate when i see nice old cars like this beanerized

AMEN! To do that to such a car should be a capital offense.

back when we were proud of our machines

wel i must say that the american auto disign realy suck now days, it was a lot beter 30 years ago. Now days the US cars does not look anymore like American cars, the look like Japanese cars, totaly no disign and comfort, its a shame

Great and Beautiful...1965..plenty of Room, bucket seats,whitevalls..etc Its time now for more people to own and drive such a beautiful car, make your move up to CHRYSLER..

For the record, the clear tailight issue wasn't a problem of "function", but rather that the manufacturing scrappage rate for the clear lenses was too high, so the company switchced back to red mid-year.

I have a '98 NewYorker and feel exactly like the guy in that commercial!
