Dahab, Egypt 2006 Scuba Diving and Sport Climbing

hey can i ask something? Basically i went scuba diving but it was a very bad traumatic experiance, everything went wrong, the company i was with put me on the beach, put the equipment on me and dragged me out into the sea. it did not go well. Before you did your scuba dive did you practice in a swiming pool or something? I never did, anyone please reply back to me, as this experiance left me really upset, but i still want to scuba dive.

I am sorry you bad first scuba dive. My first scuba dive was in the Red Sea. I remember it was a very busy four days for the course and sometimes stressful. At one stage I even froze in panic for about 5-6 seconds! But I promise it gets easier with practice. If you can find a dive centre with low instructor to student ratio, that might be best for you. I still have occasional disasters but that's probably true of anything worth while. Good luck if you try again! Tim

Thanks for you reply. :) I'll try again later sometime. I went with a not very good reputable company as well.. so i think that influenced the bad dive as well.

i went scuba diving in bali and we also didn't practice in a pool but we had instructions on the boat and later we jumped overboard,but it was cool. but i can understand that from the beach you must walk in to the waves or what??? beceause that is pretty shitty

i enjoyed it it, only 5 weeks till we go there
