No, no one is being forced to listen to their music..just like you're not being forced to read my posts, though they obviously irritate you and, be honest, so much so you've been telling me what to do. Is this a great country or WHAT!

Jane Fonda was in Nam 1972. That means your father with 28 years could have only been in the last year of WWII, and had to be at least 17. He must have been around 30 when he had you (profile says your 50). Despite an administrative cap of 20 years for all but those in Washington after Korea (you forgot Korea), your dad managed to be in a war zone when he was at least 45 with 28 years service and at least one teenage child at home. I believe everything you say. pass me my meds.

Bullllllllllllllshit.......those of us who knew put the word out that Bush was an idiot in 1999!.The dixie chicks were late to the game......

ands it not like we all dont hate Bush as it is... every place I go you see a bumper sticker saying how bad he is... she was just the first to say something... MAD PROPS

I LOVE THE DIXIE CHICKS!!!

i'm one of the few Americans who aren't on meds - i was taught how to cope and think clearly. My dad was a US soldier from WWII thru Vietnam -28 years - and he really likes this song and the message - he was in Nam when Fonda was making the rounds and he doesn't see the comparison, either. Down with Medicated "I Can't Cope -I'm Depressed - I Have Issues" - Americans - we look like a bunch of immature, ungrateful, self absorbed pathetic people to other countries.

I didn't post that for you, but thanks for reminding me "I just woke up, oohh, this sounds nice" is not limited to just the young. Comparing Maines to Fonda is a perfect match. Get back on your meds.

what is your glich? They told their story- were they suppose to tell it from a "redneck's" point of view? i'm sure alot of Americans spent money on seeing it and buying the DVD - me included. Get your head out of the sand. Foreigners are not the only ones who agree with what they said....look at Bush's approval rating by the American people. And comparing Maines to Fonda is ludicrous. No one is being forced to listen to their music.

Produced, directed, and starring the Dixie Chicks. Pr spin to make them victims. Subsequently, they stepped on the rights of those not wanting to hear their music, called anyone who disagreed with them rednecks, and made 61 million from primarily foreign sales in countries that loved them for their comment. They're heroines in those countries, just like Jane Fonda is a heroine in Communist Viet Nam.
