Description :	For all you young'ns who never heard of an Edsel, the Edsel was manufactured by the Ford Motor Company between 1958 to 1960. Although the Edsel was a excellent automobile, Ford ceased their manufacture because they were not popular with the American public. Folks just didn't appreciate the styling and didn't understand if it was supposed to be a step up or step below the Mercury. It was said to be "The wrong car at the wrong time." The word Edsel became synonomous with 'commercial faiure'. In 1960 the Edsel Comet was reassigned to the Mecury Division and did very well. Later, in 1970 Ford released the Maverick which shared the Comet's body style. One might say the Ford Maverick was an Edsel.

Is that a classic Landrover or one of these new-fangled luxery types built for the rich and infamous? (ha ha ha )

Its the one in between - called a "FreeLander" not sure if you get them over there? Landrover's "Car" strong and tough as they come with a big diesel engine (BMW).

I've heard of it but don't think I've seen one. But I love the old ones. We used to call them "Daktari" cars!!!
