these ponys are small but incredibly suited for the terrain. These guys are bending over to pick up khatas scarves at full gallop. The more the more succesful one is. In some races like kyiku they jumpon and off and do head stand in full gallop. I havent even seen mongolian horsemen do that.

brave khampa....i really appreciate their bravery i am a tibetan but not khampa i wish i was khampa the name has its own value..............goodluck khampas from kham

Excellent horsemanship!!
Lithang has always been famous for its superb horsemanship. The men are brave and a bit "wild" even among the naturally wild khampas. May be that explains a lot of these dare-devil acts. I would hate to be married to one ...you never can be sure what can go wrong...
