How much weight should you start out with? Those dumbbells didn't look very heavy, maybe 7 lbs. Can anyone lend some advice?

How wrong you are! You don't need roids to build muscle. The fact that you believe that just proves that either your workout routine is bad or you're just too lazy to put the work in.

I have friends who are very muscular and never used steroids.. but what i am saying is that most ppl these days and particularly in the west take steroids as an easy way out to build muscles fast.. not all though.. but most buff guys these days do..

Ok, I guess there's some truth to that but when you said "that's all you can expect" without using steroids, it's incorrect so that's all I was saying.
