These guys are doing something right and apparently they are not relying very much on their oil revenues to do it. They are attracting huge foreign investment including from the US which is something we in the US and the rest of the 1st world are no longer doing. Wouldn't it be ironic if these guys really learned the secret to real "free enterprise" and forced us to learn the lesson from them. If they actually learn how to spread the wealth to all their people without welfare, look out.

No they don't! They have foreign workers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal (Etc).. Cheap Labour -- Not Child Labour!

Good on them....when the oil runs out, like it is everywere around the world, they would have a fully sustainable city, and probably the buisiness centre in the world

Dubai gets most of its money from oil, Duabi is a city in U.A.E (A CITY) each part of U.A.E has its own king, the king cantrols the land. Now Duabai's king is just playing dum! there just spending to much, when all there oil runs out then we'll talk. Im not a hater i also live in the middle east, and i admire how Dubai is developing, but to spend billions its just not a right path.
