i just got a 120G tank. and i was goin to put african cichlids in it. But now i want saltwater fish caz there way cooler. but the thing is i all ready oder 120P of Eco-compete african ciclid sand online. so can i use that sand for my saltwater fish

I am not familiar with that sand so I do not know. Play it safe and use reef sand.

I am not familiar with British electricity other than the fact that it runs a different voltage and cycle than it does here in the U.S. The safety plug you are refering to is called a "ground fault interrupter" it is not a fuse or a surge type device. It senses when there is something shorting out. Talk to someone at your local hardware store if they are available to you and if they are I recommend using one as it could save your life.
