Get the video - A Night of Triumph - It records a full concert from this era complete with the laser generated head that introduces the show and comes out at least once during the show to introduce a song (magic power if I recall) - So no - you were not hallucinating - I saw it live back then, and it was very cool.

Man did this bring back some great memories!....Triumph rocked!

I've been searching for this video for 25 years!It was my 16th birthday when they filmed this concert. One of the roadies brought me back stage to meet the band. Mike & Rick were there to greet me with a handshake and a smile. When I told them how old I was, they were complete and utter gentlemen!I am the girl with the black tank top on and black choke collar! Glad I finally got to see the video!!

This video is on the Live at the US Festival DVD - so your search was pretty lame - and typically his name is spelled Rik, in relation to the band.

YYEEAAHH!!! That song rocks. I think my favorite Triumph song is "Time Goes By". That's an amazing song. And so is "Fight The Good Fight" and "Say Goodbye" and "Hold On" and "Lay It On The Line" and...well, Triumph is obviously an awesome band!

this was recorded at the Providence Civic Center after one of there shows,

I was 10 years old, my older cousin had just turned me into Heavy Metal. They had a contest on CHOM FM where you had to send rubber seals from Pepsi to win a pair of tickets to see Triumph live at the Forum. My dad had a "dépanneur" (convenience store) so I collected a shit load of pepsi things from refunded bottles and sent it. I won a pair of tickets for the show, the ThunderSeven LP (yes, on vinyl), a Triumph/Pepsi T-Shirt and a case of Pepsi! My dad took me to the show ans fell asleep.
