To TheyTookMyThumbs: What an awful thing to say! How can you possibly make such an assumption? Normal people have some things in common with their friends but certainly not everything. Everyone is an individual. I agree with sgraham1959's answer.

Clubwedd, It would be tempting to lash out at you, but Dr. King wouldn't have wanted that. He was a noble man. The finest man of ANY race this country has ever produced. Not that it matters, but I say that as a white woman. I was born years after Dr. King's death, but I heard his words long afterwards, and like so many others I was profoundly moved by his message of tolerance and peace. I pity anyone who is so blinded by hatred and ignorance that they are left unmoved by his words.

The media have always carefully portrayed King as a good Christian family man — the epitome of a man of God. Yet, King had dozens of liaisons with prostitutes, White and Black, USED CHURCH MONEY to pay them and commonly beat them — all documented by the FBI and admitted by King associates.
