Video of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Avro Lancaster, shot at the annual airshow in Hamilton, Ontario, June, 2001
I'm dedicating this video to all the men and women of all the Allies, who helped to build and keep 'em flying. (including my mom & dad)
The music is Vera Lynn singing "Wish Me Luck" and "The Dambusters March" from the film of the same name.

you can actually fly in this one at the hamilaton museum..that is of course, if you make a $2,000 "donation" to the museum.
Brilliant video. 5*
But with every Lanc start I've seen, up until this one, the engine sequence is 3-4-2-1. This was either 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2.
Great stuff.
I've seen this one fly in geneseo many times. It was the biggest WW2 bomber in the European theatre at that time.
Is this one of only 2 flyable Lancs in existence?
Yes, I believe that's correct, although there is another Lancaster with running engines called "Just Jane", which is kept at East Kirby in Linconshire, England. Apparently, it's not structurally sound enough to actually fly, but it does do taxi runs.
March Tempo more suited to Ghurkas (180 paces per minute) than the R.A.F. (120 paces per minute) I know as a former drill instructor !!!
But nevertheless great stuff!!
Too fast. Too fast. The Dambusters is slower.
I agree. Its a march - you'd be trotting inelegantly to that soundtrack.
That's OK. We're flying to it here. :)
beautifully done and with such great music - congratulations!!!!
