I like soccer(football). Don't get me wrong. But the 'diving' that occurs is something that fans of other types of football laugh at. I like all, but my favourite is Australian Rules Football. If this happened in 'Aussie Rules', it would be completely ignored during the game, and laughed at by both groups of supporters later. Hence, its nonexistence.
Why does it still persist in soccer?
An obvious give away is, if you were truly injured, why roll around? Surely that would worsen a real injury.
