How about sticky stuff for lens cleaning? Good, clean "blue tack" will lift oil film from surfaces and tack up the dust even better, plus: no rubbing, no liquids. But it must be clean, good, fresh putty. It will lift even synthetic motor oil from a surface (very hard to remove that stuff otherwise). I use blue tack for critical cleaning. Masking tape can also serve.

Cutting the lens paper creates more trouble in cleaning due to the fibers will stick to the lens. Is that why he's using a blower after wiping with a 'cut' piece? Fiber cloth is better nowadays.

Should I use the paper only with the chemical or cleaning the glass with a dry scrap of paper will do? I've heard that only when it's a little wet it can be used.

Slightly moisture your tissue is good enough. Don;t empty the bottle on a single piece of tissue:D

this is stuiped

Good stuff, but I'd add one suggestion: Once the tissue is pulled out of the book, never set it down until you've cleaned the lense. It can pick-up a speck of dirt or other material from the desk.

you're absolutely right

Thanks, szatanzimo, and thanks also for posting your video. Anything that helps photographers is a big plus.

There is nothing wrong with a well washed old handkerchief. I did for over forty years as a professional photographer and never had any problems. A good brush with a blower was always useful.

if u can't see a spot on your lens, then it can't get any cleaner.
