does this car have a chevrolet engine in it? because in 1965 chevrolet switched to chevrolet engines just wondering? thanks

Yes, it has the chevy 283 "mckinnon" engine - studebaker rebranded it as the "Thunderbolt"

yes, we had one in the '66 i learned to drive in.. it had been punched and rebuilt .. hottest car i ever drove!!

Am amazed no one started a fire or lost a finger with all that goofing around. Why the hell did you load the car on trailer backwards? Is that a Cruiser? Sure hope it doesn't get modified with modern oversized mag wheels or a thumping stereo!

No fires or fingers - I wasn't happy about my friend dumping drips of gas out of the can like that ..lol - It's a commander - and it's been kept all original. We loaded it backwards due to the trailer hitch being very low and we did not want it to scrape. Thanks for watching!

Yep - car was loaded on davey ave. My grandmother lived on E. Main. The video was made in May 2004, and I have not been to Pen Argyl since March 2005 since the passing of my Grandmother. Small world though!
