is she a lesbi ? |
In some shots she does actually look quite convincing! |
I remember seeing THANKS FOR THE MEMORY IN THE EARLY 1950S AT THE Metropolitain Theatre Edgeware Road London great memories thanks for posting |
Great singer!
She still looks like a woman to me though. And a VERY handsome one!
She looks like Ellen DeGeneris or K.D. Lange somewhat.
THANKS for posting this EXCELLENT clip! I don't know that much about this entertainer except she has a lot of talent! |
thanks |

Not bad for a 54 year-old gal! Still, I would love to see her doing th song she popularized: "I'm Burlington Bertie from Bow" |
I saw a clip of Ella Shields performing 'Burlington Bertie from Bow' in the 1968 British movie 'A Little Of What You Fancy', a documentary about music-hall. Wonder where this clip can be found if britishpathe dont have it? |
FANTASTIC, great to see some good old videos, more please |
Great! I love this! I had an old photo of "Ella Rose" not the same person. Thanks for these wonderful memories of times past! |
Old school drag king! I love her, she's so lovely and talented! Some of her dance steps are pretty slick, too! She is clearly a strong inspiration for Andrews' Victor. |
No, only 1 singing number in britishpathé archives |
