When is Vena's birthday? I've seen 16 year old freshmen throw 60' but they never got that much better ( 68') because they were so old to begin with.

he turned 15 in april

Carter stated in an interview that can be found on macthrowvideo that his lifts in HS were 280 BP and 450 SQ, those though were coupled with probably a 36+ inch vertical and 4.6 speed in the 40 yard dash.

I will beat this. I throw the 12 41 feet. I am GOING into 9th grade.
|
lmao. your not even close! you will increase 40 feet in 4 years.
|
yes and i have only been throwing 1 year so i think im pretty close compared to how much practice he had
|
He wasn't that strong ?!? He was extremely strong! Strong enough to throw the 16 lb shot 67 feet as a senior in high school, ha ha! That does not come from speed alone. Trust me he would have blown jimmie pacifico out of the water weight wise and power wise. Carter was probably the strongest, fastest high school thrower to ever live and it shows by his 75/76 foot throws. You don't go to the NFL being weak..

Jordan Clarke from Alaska is the nat'l leader right now, with 67'10.75, .25 inches over Venas mark-
|
if you see his videos, he is very very lanky! which im not sayin he cant impove on strengh, but it will be extremly dificult for him to actually gain POWER muscle, "fast twitch" he has lean muscle" you can tell from the posture and the way he moves. and you cant gain Fast Twitch muscle, but you can improve your slow twitch, which he has, i mean, he can get stronger, but its not going to really help with explosiveness! look at stephens body type compared to vena! completly different!

I think he's only 6'4", and I dont see how that would affect his strength. Jonathan Ogden won the NCAA indoor title in '96, and he's 6'9". I see his height as being an advantage, and no hinderance at all
