yeah, me and my friends kinda walked through amsterdam with no idea where the stuff is at... but i guess we were lucky, cause we saw almost everything, allthough, we just walked to the centre to buy weed and groceries. we even forgot, that in amsterdam is one of the biggest and most known redlightdistricts at least in europe.. but we found it one night and were very pleasured... that street felt so safe to walk on, cause everybodys there for a reason ;) and thats like 90%

The Red Light district is safe to go down even without a local. It is mostly filled with tourist anyway! Do not be intimidated, there is the best examples of middle ages and early modern building here. It is fine for woman to walk in, even at night. But as for any large city, take care of your purse, wallet and camera.

Absolutely right! Pretty safe without a local, just more fun because they know where to take you!
