Sidney Poitier salutes Denzel Washington on his Oscar® win

he is a beyond magnificant actor who deserves all the acolades he has been given-may his legacy live on!!!!!!!!!

OH yeah HOLLYWOOD has "changed" every time I see a "HISPANIC" in a movie he is either playing the role of A hustler, a drug addict, etc etc etc... HOLLYWOOD HAS "CHANGED" A LOT...

"Lillies Of The Field" was the first movie i saw starring Mr. Poitier. This film and "To Sir With Love" are my two favorites. "If you wanted the sky I would write across the sky in letters That would soar a thousand feet high 'To Sir, With Love"

could u stop using words "BLACK ACTOR" as if its so different from being a white actor..y cant a black actor just called an actor... sydney poiter is a great actor

Mr. Poitier is thw quintessential american black actor and we love him thank you for your great films and as he said he can wrap his career in a tight little bow ad pass the torch onto Denzel who will hopefully have someone to pass the torch to I haven't this fella yet but im sure he's there someplace, Will Smith is appealing but not the actors these guys are.

Love and respect to Sidney Poitier, that man is a testament to his craft for what he overcame and for who he is to actors all over the world. The same goes to Denzel Washington, incredible talent.
