The first scarf was presented to her as a gift. At that time Gucci had just begun making leather clothing, and now they branched off into silk dresses, made from printed silk in designs similar to the scarves. 1968 brought about the introduction of the ultimate Gucci status symbol, the shoe decorated with the snaffle bit. "At first, I didn't quite understand why so many people were interested in seeing these clothes," says Francisco. SMILE...i heard publishing a book ...is like giving BIRTH..TO A CUBE...but i STILL think you should entertain the idea ...once you go past a CERTAIN STAGE...the book writes ITSELF...and a lot of the LEGENDS are either DEAD..or retiring..and people now have an INTEREST...think about it...everyone cannot go to your MUSEUM..and GOD knows people need EDUCATING..
