Stan had starred in (and wrote) dozens of Hal Roach short comedies in the early '20s- this was one of them, originally released in 1923. At the time, he was Roach's equivalent to Chaplin, Keaton, and Lloyd. It wasn't until 1927 that he was finally paired with Oliver Norvell Hardy- and one of THE great screen comedy teams were born. As always, H.M. "Beanie" Walker wrote the intertitles {"Loafing was permitted between whistles- And everybody whistled-"}.

funny and best i had neighbore in 1950s acted and looked like skinny guy, he was so lazy he wouldnt even wipe his ass.
