the seoiotoshi looks a lot like a drop seoinage to me... and wasn't kanibasami banned??

Otoshi means drop... So 'shoulder-drop'... But, "dropping seoi-nage" would usually refer to the two knees, ryo-hiza-seoi-nage... (I'll have the tutorial video up for this shortly...)

Oh... And a banned technique doesn't mean a technique that shouldn't be learned... Judo is not all about the sport of judo, after all ;)
