1968 Pontiac GTO Commercial

I know PMD was heavily involved with John DeLorean and there was a lot of muscle happening there. Grand Prix and Bonneville had the big engines. Was it not Johns idea to drop them into midsized cars? Unfortunately my goat was written off by the dumbass kid I sold it to. Got away on him and he nailed a tree,twisted it up real good. I am a bodyman by trade and when I saw it I almost had tears in my eyes. I felt like kicking his ass. But thats a long time ago. Good that you still have yours.GRRRlol

I have unknowingly learned quite a bit about Mr Z. John was hired to bring "youth" to PMD, he was very smart, this guy came up with stuff at random and had lawyers file it. He did have a dream of a "sport car", his first run at it was a better Vette, so much better GM killed it for sales worries on the Vette & Chebby stoled its style cues! Z latter tried again but GM said you have to build it for Chebby to get it for PMD the "F" body was borne! After GM the DeLoren was birthed.

John fought hard for PMD, GM didnt want the fav child Chebby to get beat up on, so they didnt let alot happen for PMD, thats why real Pontiac, Olds, Buick guys have a blessed hate for Chebby. Pontiac written on Chevy valve covers, the Chevy Holden FAKE GTO, the bastard chebby powered Pontiacs and sister engines. I built my 72 GTO from the ground up, anyone how has done this before knows that as soon as you replace one thing it makes it can be easy to replace another , like "I'm replacing the ball joints I should replace the springs while its apart, and if I do that I should do the upper control arm bushings, and why not clean and paint it all". Its upsetting that you lost your car, they are so rare its hard to loose even one. Anything saved off the car?
