what type of file does it record too.? like do you have to use an editor like vegas or can you use a basic editor like windows movie maker? what type of files are they? like .mov .mod ?

i got the hdr-sr45 and i like it. but im trying to get the hdr-11. u really love this camera tho. its so easy. but if you do buy it, i suggest to buy an external hard drive, it really helps too.
