Zeus had to. The reason why Cronus wanted to kill his kids was because there was a prophecy that they would be his downfall, so he ate them all. Except for Zeus,who Rhea took and placed in the care of..Well, theres tons of theroies,but the most likely was Gaea,his grandmother. When Zeus was grown up,he fed posion to Cronus,only made him puke out the other gods and goddess',full grown. Then, in the Titan Wars,he was imprisoned in the Taturus, in this show he broke out,but in myth,he didn't.

wow,Cronus was a BAD father.and a bad son to if he killed his dad.

and a funny thing is,when Zuess says "i'll remember" and then he returns every one to the present, he says "now what was i supposed to remember about Cronus?"its so funny.

a couple more things.if Zeuss is Cronus's son,and Zeuss is the most powerful god,wouldn't Cronus be more powerful,since hes the father of Zeuss?and why would Cronus want to get rid of Zeuss?Zeuss is his SON.i thought parents were supposed to love their children,not want to get rid of them.one more thing.i know this might sound weird,but if Cronus is evil,then when Zeuss was growing up,wouldn't Cronus teach Zuess to be evil?this show is so complicated.its a great show,but its complicated.

Okay first Cronus killed his own father. and then when his first five children, Hera, Posideon, Hades, Hestia and Demeter were born Cronus swallowed them whole. when Zeus was born his mother Rhea replaced him with a stone and took him away to be raised by Nyphs. It's not really the show that's complicated it's the Greek Mythology involved. Check out some books from your local library or check the internet and you'll find out everything you might want to know.

i thought Zeuss was the father of Hercules.and i also thought that Hercules fell in love with that girl and then he went to live on earth so he could be with her.and isn't Hades supposed to be evil?

that's the disney version and disney warpped the original myth. Hercules was the sone of Zeus and a mortal woman. and he was granted immortality by the Gods. and Hades isn't evil, again that's only the disney version.

I love Greek Mythology, but its really weird. Cronus is the father of Zues and Zues is the father of Hades. It's really weird how Zues imprisoned Cronus, and now father (Cronus) wants to kill son(Zues). But is what's even strange is that Zues married his own sister, Hera. And Hera wasn't always so nice, she had a tough relationship with Zues and Hera imprisoned alotof innocent people and killed them, especially lovers of Zues. But I understand they wanted to keep in the bloodline.

According to the mythology i've read, Zeus, Hades and Posidon were all brothers. with hades as the eldest and Zeus the youngest. and then Hera, Demeter and Hestia were their sisters. Cronus was the father of all six. and yes, Hera is kind of an evil witch in most mythology.
