Yep....Additionally you can get a free VMWare style program called (VirtualBox). Not really good in full screen...but free none the less. Don't get me wrong PC users...You can get M$ Virtual Machine free from M$. Aero and Compiz are totally different animals. I can do a little more in compiz. You get OpenOffice for free and it won't cost you like MS Office. Know what you want to do but don't have the app? Just look for a program in the synaptic manager and install it. Simple and easy and free.:)

Yeah. And who's the idiot who gave this comment a thumbs down? Lol someone must haven't used Ubuntu... If you get an old donated computer, Windows XP runs slow.. your option - Ubuntu. I should've done that with my old computers before I gave them away... but they were perfect.

Linux, never mind which distro, need to make over on it's ancient dull design.

....Does This Look Ancient To You?

LMAO!! good one. and this is just expose and spaces from leapord.

Loltroll newer than XP which most people use and can customise way better than Aero, if you want to.

I didn't mean to insult Linux users which I've converted my Dell Inpiron laptop into Linux based device. The experience were noting like installing winXP nor win Vista. Not to mention installing Mac OS to mac laptop. It's so ancient and always encounter devices compatible problems, prove that not for people who lack of time and patience try solve puzzle. The XGL was nothing but copycat concept from Mac and WinVista. GUI in Linux really need a remake, those designs are all dull as hell.

LOL u got it reversed

umm... there is a big difference between linux and windows... linux is freaking freeee!!!! so you can't say anything about it.. if you dont like it, dont use it... And the 3d linux desktops dont look dull and old.. so stfu

Curious.. yeah there can be some compatibility issues. I had issues with my Broadcom wireless card but it's resolved in the newer version. Great thing is.. if you're using Dapper which isn't that new, it's still supported til 2009. Other ones are still supported (more info on Wikipedia). Right when you install Ubuntu, you have an IRC client which automatically connects you to the Ubuntu server which you can ask for help and people there are really nice.
