Billy crudup.
Billy Crudup is one beautiful man. Why don't we see more of him on screen?
I've said this before - and I'll asy it again.
It's CRIMINAL that ANY YouTube video of Shelby Steele has only been viewed a scant number of times when compared to the mindlessness of other videos available.
ALL of us need mentors in life. As a 47-year-old man (caucasian), Steele is one of my mentors. I, obviously, have never met the man, but he helps me clarify my thinking - especially with regards to race. Other men in my life are Dennis Prager, Chuck Colson, James Dobson my father.
Shalby Steele is intelligent a conservative I know.
i wonder if he went to watch Oedipus, like he promised?!

Shelby Steele has built his career on being the devils advocate on race. He is all they (bigots, racists, Republicans) need to shift the focus from them to him. They say "See it must be true- a 'Negroe' said it too." Hopefully his career as race expert will end on Nov. 4, 2008. People are voting for Sen. Obama and will vote for him because he is sincerely "IN TOUCH" with middle-class Americans. It's sad that people still follow Hillary after she has repeatedly shown her lack of integrity.
daannng, you are only proving Steele's rightness.
I read this book, very good.
billy crudup has said that he likes to make movies about people who live on the fringes or who are messed up in some way. he seems to have embraced this to an astonishing extent if you look back over his career since the time of this interview. he seems so uncomfortable with himself (like many educated creative people). i've always been a big fan, but i find him more perplexing as time goes on.
