Science forms the basis of our society. Modern-day life wouldn't exist if it weren't for science, yet there are many people out there who have no idea how it works. Some even say that science has led us astray and that we should abandon it in order to re-embrace [insert religion or ideology here]. Here is an explanation of how science works. Please note, I am not a science and so am not privvy to all the ins and outs of the scientific community. This is merely an overview.
