You are ignorant to say only kids like soccer in the USA. Then who were the 60,000 people who went to see Celtic Manch Utd in Seattle a few years ago? I personally (31 years old) went to see the following: United v Milan in NY United v Celtic in Philly Milan v Barca in DC (Where I live) every stadium was packed! Its not that Americans don't like soccer, its the quality. And by the way DC United avg 25-30,000 per game... thats the same or more than the majority of english clubs!

I went to Real Madrid vs DC United and yes there were 60, 000 people there. There were 40, 000 at Brazil VS China. Both games were in Seattle and most of the fans were foreigners. It was hard to find Americans there. At the Madrid game they all wore Beckham jerseys which didn't surprise me. So yes I don't think there are many fans in a country where people still make fun of what they call soccer

I am not sure where you are from Maybe u need a civics lesson... USA was always a mix of different nationalities... Chinese, Irish, Italian, English, German, Mexican, etc the only people from America were Native Americans so to say it was all foreigners is really kinda stupid. plus DC vs Real in Seattle??? Don't remember that one, and I support DC.

You can't say Americans don't know shit about football. Not all of them are the stereotypical dumb, obese, ignorant, never left the USA, war mongering, racist, overly religious people they're portayed. Some of them like football. And we should encourage these people, not put them down. Personally, when I hear an American is so passionate about football, I think swell, they do have brains. End the war in Iraq, stop the murdering, help Zimbabwe and Sudan, OOPS THEY HAVE NO OIL, let them die.

Bro I live in the US and I know what it's like here. Most people hate football and they think its a pussy sport for girls. The only people that do like "soccer" are kids and they don't even watch it. If they do they have no passion at all. There are very few people in the country that know as much as the average european fan. That is why it sounds ridiculous when an American argues about football. Most people here still think Beckham is the best player in the world...
