Actually, this snake gets much larger than this video states. One eveing on a levy @ the Fakahatchee Strand, I saw 100s of pigmies of vairous age and patterns. All obviously same species. Only the small ones keep the pattern.. then it begins to fade. This species can get to at least 2 feet long, but because of faded to no pattern, it is confused with cotton mouth. The name PIGMY is a misnomer because of pattern only on young snakes.

The guy said that is one of the smallest snakes he ever saw. The smallest one I ever saw was the spitting cobra.
