dixie chicks not ready to make nice

The DC's couldn't win an award after 2003 that the fans vote on (CMTs for example), but awards voted on solely by individuals who are dependent on entertainers for income (such as the Grammys) we're tossed their way by the handful. Their popularity was and is in fact strong, but primarily in countries with strong anti-american sentiment. Sentiment that continues today. A situation similar to, say, Jane Fonda being a heroine in Communist Viet Nam...to this day.

Disagreeing with what someone says is not attacking their right to have the opinion, it is attacking the opinion itself. Ufortunately, the Media PR in support of the Dixie Chicks have tossed this difference aside. The Media, for the sake of profit, has spun the american dissent against the opinion expressed by Natalie Maines into an attack on her freedom of speech.

1) what happened to freedom of speech 2) we all hate GW so stop acting brand new. 3) everything they said we have all said at least once in the privacy of our homes 4) funny how K West and Jay-Z can say "f-Bush" and everyone cheers, while DC's comments have people in riots 5) I don't even like country, but this song is fresh. you go girls 8).

personally i like the way they sound.......butt I HATE what these girls said. It was down right disrespectfull.

this song is a life changer it helped me get through so many times because i got bullied lots and then after listening to this song I knew it was time to stand up for myself and i knew i wasn't gonna take no more shit from anybody
