I miss Tom Snyder on TV (I understand he's seriously ill now) because by the 1990s he was the best interviewer on TV, which was quite an accomplishment because when he started in the 1970s he was terrible and deserved to be mocked by the cast of SNL when they appeared on his show in 1975. But he matured as a broadcaster and I miss his wit and intelligence now.

Ah but Jim, Tom Snyder was classic to the '70s. My brother and I have a lot of great memories of his show. I loved that he smoked while interviewing. I loved that he was just the guy at the end of the bar talking to someone even if he wasn't always quite sure who they were. Check out his Sex Pistols interview. RIP Tom Snyder. And his teddy bear.
