If you watched warren specters post postmortem (look up warren specter on youtube)he stated he made a mistake with IW making it to into the future, and that he wanted players to relate to the time because you were doing things like climbing on top of a dumpster to get to a fire escape, and all of those are things we have seen in the modern day.
Lucky you, waiting about 8 months fewer than me for this release... or news of any kind. I'll probably get more excited than I was for GTAIV, but we'll see

Invisible War felt like a letdown to me. Just stating my opinion on it.
I mean, it did quite a few things right, but some of it was just of the course of it's Predecessor.
Yeah, it wasn't a bad follow up.. something to turn to if you're tired of playing the original game over and over. But yeah, the story definitely does not compare to the original. Then again, when is that ever the case?
Hmm... you're right. The only case I can think of is Spider-Man 2, but that's a Movie :D
Invisible War truely WAS a let down. the devs feel quite bad about it. there are interviews with him reguarding it. I think you can find them on youtube
