By the year 1919, Harry Houdini was known throughout the world as a master magician and escape artist. Having conquered the stage, he set out to rule the screen, appearing in a series of thrillers built upon his almost supernatural powers. Culled from film archives and private collections, this Kino DVD set includes all of Houdini's surviving films as an actor, rare footage of actual handcuff and straitjacket escapes, and a wealth of historical information. Coming to DVD from Kino International.

LOVE HARRY HOUDINI!!!
would like to talk to you. I also am related to Houdini, but trying to figure out exact relationship. my mother is Rose Weiss, her father was Kopple Weiss, he ran told us that Harry Houdini was an uncle, but refused to talk about it..any information would be appreciated as to our relationship
all i know is i was related to him from my grandma somehow...srry... if i find any more info i will let u know though
sorry, sweetie..I am a Hungarian Jew, my mother was Rose Weiss, Houdini was a distant relative and his real name was Echrich Weiss..and there are many, many Hungarian and German Jews... Where do you think Jews come from? Think about it..they came here from Hungary, Poland, Russia and Germany...fyi..Israel didn't exist before 1948, so your information is inaccurate and you need to calm down.
how do i know your not lieing? And donm't tell me where jews come from i already know! And also they like to travel!
I've always wondered why no one has made a big budget Hollywood film of Houndini. Like Chaplan, the World'd Fastest Indian, The Assassination of Jesse James, Ray, or Ali, etc. That sort of thing. It would be damn hard to find someone that could fill Houdini's shoes, and Hollywood would probably screw it up anyway, but it'd still be a hell of a show. With so much amazing material to work with, I'm sure they could make a movie that was at least very entertaining, if historically inaccurate.
