Actually, I think they were supposed to be wearing footsie-pajamas. But, with such limited animation, back then, there's no way such outfits could be drawn to look as baggy as they were in real-life. Lol!

No question about it, the cartoons they're cranking out today, don't even begin to come close to these classics!! Thanks again for posting these gems!! :) BTW, I was 2...maybe 3, when these commercials aired! ;)

"Beany and Cecil" was a very clever show. The female dinosaur in the clip was a takeoff on Dinah Shore, who was a major television star in those days!
