N-Gage Rifts Promise of Power

Video Title : N-Gage Rifts Promise of Power
Description : A short trailer of the utterly brilliant RPG N-Gage game. Rifts: Promise of Power, virtually no one has played this game and thats their loss. I'd also like to sarcastically thank those in charge at Nokia for removing without warning all their awesome dedicated game sites. This was one of the few things I managed to save from there.

Quite possibily one of the best rpg's there is. DnD isn't bad, but Rifts takes it hands down.

lols,,,cheap ames

I think the more books you own, the more time it takes to make the character because you pick a little gear out of each book usually. Or is that just me? I actually spent like 3 hours before creating a character. He was disgustingly powerful at level 1 but most of my friends also take 1 to 2 hours to make characters.

Its a real shame Nokia stuffed the N-Gage platform so badly. Because this is perhaps the N-Gage's best game. I never heard of the whole Rifts genre till after I played this game. How exactly do you play pen and paper role playing games? I don't get it.

Check Role-Playing Games on wiki. Basicly you have a Gamemaster who is in control of all the monsters/NPCs and set up a story. Each player has their own character and interacts in the story based on what they want to do. The rules and Dice rolls determine outcomes of attacks or success witha skill.

Imagination, good friends, great story, ordered pizza, card table and dice. Those are the ingredients. You need a solid GM (DM if you prefer AdD) to keep it fresh, though. And a confirmed schedule of play so no one character is left out because the player couldn't be there. Sadly, card games are destroying pen and paper....

It wasn't so much that Palladium chose to put Rifts on the Ngage as a company came to Palladium and payed to make it into a Ngage game.

I never got to play it, like 90% of the earths population. Putting Rifts RPG on the N-Gage was a huge mistake. They could have put it on the game boy or something so people could hear about it. Great video though, I've never actually seen the game before.
