calire danes doesn't "shine" in anything. She's such a vanilla bore. I have never once felt any depth to her characters its all just blah. Mary Louise Parker is awesome.

I'm re-reading the book and I still have who I first imagined Tristran to be in my mind, but Yvaine has been replaced by Claire Danes! She was awesome in this movie!
