Compilation of the pilot of Miami Vice.
Season 1, Episode 1: Brother's Keeper
Original Air Date: 16 September 1984
Song: Lift me up by Moby. The single is taken from Moby's 2005 album Hotel.
Used software: Windows Movie Maker.
This is the first of a series of trailers I will be making with my favorit TV series hit "Miami Vice".
I am now working on trailers for each episode (if they have enough usable footage), experimenting with different styles of music.
After all episodes "trailered" I'll make 1 for the entire season 1 based on my experience with the episodes and best music which i could find.
As for this episode I used Moby's music which had some "soft" parts and some "up tempo action" parts which fitted the episode very well I think. Especially the first part of the vid.
I hope I don't step on die hard fans' feet with this, cause I admit, in the air tonight by phil and that whole scene shouldn't be messed with, it was just master.
If you have any suggestions, let me know.
Cheers and enjoy

i kinda see the direction you are going in,try it out with other artists besides moby.
any suggestions?
hmmmm, try other moby songs, linkin park even though they were on the soundtrack for the movie, incubus maybe?, chemical brothers, and possibly 9 inch nails, hey try them out, experiment. now that i looked at the video again the moby song is fits in better, good job.
This image is from the first episode of Miami Vice ('Brother's Keeper'). This episode is available on DVD ("Miami vice season 1")
thats right... i wrote that in the video discription
...need to buy season 5 on dvd... hmm
i don't like it you know why ? Because the music sucks. Miami vice is the symbol the 80's, the funky style, the beach. You just can't associate that rubbish rock with miami vice ! Miami vice is soul FUNK !
thanks for the feedback, i think miami vice isnt about soul punk, but eighties pop... straight out of MTV. i think Moby was as innovative as jan Hammer... using much synthesizer-like music. think if the series was made in the nineties... michael mann would have chosen Moby. and you are right, this clip should contain more miami vice like music, but thats already done 100 times
If this show was made in nineties, it couldn´t be Miami Vice anymore I think.........but moby´s music is interesting in MV here, too (not so good as original score, but not so bad to don´t use it)
