If you look the horse actually takes a longer route round the outside of the track, so the horse would be faster anyway.

Well, I see it is someting like a diplomatical fight here. Someone was asking why one would buy such a car if not for the noise. Let me tell you the answer: I and several other people from around the world would. Why? Because it is someting that holds on to the person's kind of being. As I once read, "the mustang is not only a car, but a way of living". I agree that the old ones had that "someting" and I would buy one at any moment, if I had the money, but nowadays V8s are simply brilliant
