Lotus Elise R walkthrough

Good walkthrough. I'd advise you not to use the windscreen to get out of the 111R. It's not a structural component, my technique is to brace against the sills and lift holding on to the steering wheel.

Hi Oliver, although you most likely could be correct, the role cage component of a standard Elise I believe is made up of the windscreen structure and the rear roll hoop structure behind your head. With this in mind you would image the front windscreen component would be strong enough to support the weight of a pretty standard build 75Kg English guy getting in and out?
