2003 PDC World Darts Final John Part vs Phil Taylor - Part 2

A Great game to watch - Part played brilliantly in the first five sets to lead 4-1 (see the other video) and then withstood the comeback when it got to 6-6. Funny that the following year, Part lost in the third round (last 32) and Taylor went 4-1 down in the final before recovering to win in the sudden-death leg

Legendary final. Brilliant to watch. Has anyone got any clips of another legendary final. It was between Phil Taylor and Mike Gregory, back when Phil was in the BDO? It was level in sets, 2 legs all in the final set. Closest 2 bull 2 throw first and both players had chances 2 win the title. 1993 i think. Pity its not on you tube.

Part won the BDO World Championship in 1994, which was of course the BDO's first World Championship since the PDC's inception. Therefore, the field wasn't considered as strong that year and Part's victory was met with some cynicism. This match proved it was no fluke, and with his third World title this year Part has probably become one of the greats of the game.

John Part is now go down into history as a true legend of the game with 3 world titles! 1994, 2003 & 2008. Well done JP!
