Description :	RNZAF C130 training flight in the Waiouru training area at the foot of Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand. 2002. Smokey SAM rockets were fired as the aircraft flew past, the aircraft would then turn towards the rockets and punch off flares. The last shot is of a jettison of the remaining flares. The shots on the ground were taken from the Waiouru Airfield. It took two of us to load the flares and fire the rockets - however the airfield and the launch zone were about 20 k's apart - poor old Nissan Navara was on it's last legs after that day ! The shots of multiple aircraft is just me playing around. There is only one aircraft. I put this little number together to give me some editing practice.

I spent 2 years in Waiouru back in the late 60's, I remember watching the C130's ( all 3 of them back then) fantastic video, made me quite homesick
