seriously, that jamaican accent of his just freaking makes everything about him a shit load more kick ass.

probably because no one's seen his name written before (except maybe in teh intro of episode 3, i forget) and he has a weird name that can be spelled in many ways.

i don't very well see how simple age is an excuse for a force user's skills to waver to such an extent. Remember that most force users only become stronger with age and only weaken in the very last years of their life, and even then it would still take an experienced force user to take them down in a duel. Yoda and Doku are the perfect examples of this.

yes and teh fact that he can't use the force makes him that much cooler, since in fights between jedi and sith each one puts up a force shield around them so that the other can't predict his next move. This means that any trick grievous uses, a Jedi already knows about it before-hand, he's just so fast they can't doge it even if they do see it coming.
