i just love the silence just before touchdown when the power is cut off..

you try holding a camera while your in the way of a bunch of levers switches and 2 pilots that are trying to land on one of the hardest places to land :)

what causes the wind-up sound right before touchdown?

thats the wind-up sound of various/systems being triggered by the the spin up of the main landing wheels.......on ground contact

The wind-up sound is the lever for the speed-brakes/lift-dumpers moving automatically. The pilots arm the brakes on approach and they deploy as the main gear first touches the ground.

It looks like its going so slow over the runway

Check out the PAPI's which are the lights on the edge, 2 green and 2 red indicate spot on glidescope (as opposed to vector which is your direction ie track). 3 greens and 1 red would be too high, all greens way to high etc you get the point.

they should be white not green..
