I feel the need to pley devil's advicate. First of all she is talking about stage combat, that is not the same as real swordfighting. Secondly, she is cute, so you have to give her alittle bit if slack. Speaking from purely the male point of veiw.

This is very, very wrong. It's actually extremely concerning. A lot of this isn't even close; the only good thing is that you got the general idea of where the parry goes for about half of the numbers. The rest of them are just 100% wrong, and the ones that are correct are very improperly executed.
And more specifically, I don't know who told you about that parry 9, but not only does it not exist, but it's beyond useless. Also, why are you doing head parries in foil?

The biggest flaw in this that I can see is her stance, which would not be optimal if one were to try and defend oneself. If you want to see a really nice saber video, look at the 1936 olympics footage. Very nice.

I've also heard what she called a "nine" parry referred to as a Hungarian Fifth.

It is stage fencing, admittedly, but the parries are not excellent. Also, the pistol grip on that foil is either held incorrectly, or like no other grip that I have ever seen. Also, it's a wee bit odd to see a foilist up against a saber, but in "real life", I suppose it is unlikely that someone would only use the same weapon as their opponent.

Very nice saber demonstration.

Hold the sword correctly first.

If youa re trying to teach sport fencine, there are a couple things wrong about those parries, one you are holding that pistol grip wrong. Second most of the parries arent right. Third, I dont think that 9 parry is right and if it is (I dont of know 9) the way you went from 5 to 9 was really bad and takes up way to much time. Among other things, you dont do sabre vs foil.

I think that 6 and 7 where the lower shots with the straight wrist
