2008 New York Auto Show - 2009 Dodge Challenger RT and SE

I want the R/T with the Pistol Grip Shifter!!! Also the R/T comes with the MDS system for better fuel economy, bonus for today's gas prices, especially on a car like this.

I hate to sound like a noob, but what is a "gas guzzler" tax?

Gas Guzzler Tax is when a carfuel economy ratings are below average example the Mercedes Benz SLK55 AMG if you bought one you will be charged $1300 gas guzzler tax because it gets 16/22 mpg

I'm not entirely sure, all know is that "gas guzzler tax" is an EXTRA FEE that you have to pay the state (CA) if you purchase a gasoline powered car over a specific displacement. It depends on the average MPG of the vehicle too. You would have to call your local DMV to see if there is a fee and how much it is for your area. The SRT8 model WILL NOT avoid the gas guzzler tax, saw it on Dodge website. I thinks is closer to $2k for this car, F***!

I think Dodge should pay more respects and honor its own past by making the R/T the top model like it was back in the mid 60s to early 70s... Oh well, still a hell of a car... MANUAL TRANS PLEASE! Oh, and the V6 is sooo lame! Just an offering for people who wanna try and be cool without the power to back it up, hahaha... Though they did offer all the options back in '70... So I guess it's alright... 225 slant six anyone?

Unfortunaltely, the stripes don't come on the R/T. Sucks, because it would look so cool.

I bet it will be one of the first after marcket cosmetic upgrades available. Maybe even through Dodge.... stranger things have happened.
