Fantastic!!!! I saw Hawk on the Wing first and never suspected it was other than a garage-kept original. When did your grandpa quit driving / how long was it out in the pasture? Did he work at South Bend? Nice color too!

In the summer of 1969 my uncle tried to use a bumper bar to tow the hawk from northern Ohio to southern Indiana. The bar broke and it went into a yard clipping a tree, Bending an axle, and damaging a fender. It was parked after that. He ordered in November of 1960 and went with the dealer to pick it up he didnt want it on a hauler, but never worked for Studebaker. Thanks for the nice compliment.

It is great to see your hawk come back to life. My 2nd car was a '61 Hawk when I was in High School/College in 69-71. Even then, it drew lots of looks and comments about what it was. You have a great looking car! I now have a '48 Champion and '63 Daytona Convertible. The '48 is solid and I bought it from the grandson of the original owner. The '63 has some rust to be tackled in the restoration.
