Everyone tells me I imagined this cartoon

Looks like a lawsuit.

In my opinion, the animation style of Filmation has yet to be duplicated. Their special effects, done with moire effects, look miles better than any shimmer effects that are done today. Writing has changed, and matured, to be sure - but the old school action and sci fi shows still work for the age groups, they were designed for.
|
Filmation also refused to outsource any of their work out of the country, while every other animation company was outsourcing. Hurray Filmation!

Well, I'm hoping that they release this cartoon on DVD. It's been 26 years since I've last seen it.
Saturday Morning cartoons are garbage nowadays, but then again, they have been for the past 15 or so years.

WOW, I'd forgotten about this altogether 30 years? Web Woman had the coolest ship and lair. I hope Filmation releases this along with Tarzan: Lord Of the Jungle on DVD.
|
Jeez! Buzz Dixon wrote this? Didn't he write for Sunbow animation or something?
|
This is nuts. Tell me why this Filmation gem isn'ton DVD. She's nothing like Spiderwoman. She came first and she's a hell of a lot more pretty and sexy!
|
It's not on DVD because it's owned by CBS, I believe. They also seem to have ownership over Filmation's Tarzan series, and their Mighty Mouse series, and I know their Mighty Mouse series will never see light of day again - CBS doesnt own the "Here I come to save the day" theme, and apparently it would cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars to do anything with it.
