AKP is a murderous party as far as the Kurds are concerned. A young Kurdish Boy aged 7 was not allowed into Turkey because he was called Welat, a Kurdish name. The reason given was the letter 'W' is Kurdish and does not exist in Turkish, so this threatened Turkey's unity. The little boy was returned to Germany where he resides, separated cruelly from his parents, not allowed into his own country under Turkish occupation. Unless they expect to ascend to the top of the EU bureaucracy, their positions will only be made irrelevant by the expansion of the EU's authority. I despise everything that Thatcher ever stood for and everything that the tories of past or present have ever tried to do the the working majority of this country and the abandonment of everything we used to be so proud of but Gordon Brown is not much better these days. And IF he were a 'conviction politician' then why did he not have the conviction to hold an election when he would have one or the conviction to nationalize Northern Rock right away or the conviction to do...well anything really.

Gordon Brown is a very pale imitation of Thatcher! Whatever your views on her, she WAS a conviction politician, she believed in everything she did. You have a right to hate her as she was pretty radical but at least she had the balls to do what she thought was necessary. Brown is pathetic and needs to go.
