Well, I for one don't believe you. I've never seen any fat people here and I can honestly say that I've never seen anyone eating chips in Hull. You're talking absolute nonsense.

I don't believe you. I've lived in and around Hull for much of my life and I can't ever recall seeing a fat person. And the only person I ever saw eating chips here was a mate of mine, visiting from Surbiton.

Yes - I'll reply, seeing as I'm one of 'em. The Hull Blokes are a local group made up of local, largely working-class blokes. The people on the video are all from Hull. Granted, Andy - the guy with the microphone at the start - doesn't have much of a Hull accent, but so what? The other guy who presents it is originally from Hull, left as a lad to live in Dundee (hence his Scottish accent) but has been back here for years. The two actors are both Hull born and bred. OK?
